Fantasy and Whimsical Meets Historical.

I love making historically-inspired costumes, but don’t like to stress about sewing “rules.” I appreciate that there’s a place in the world for classical training and historical accuracy, especially for educational purposes, however, I just love the freedom to create what comes to mind. So I like mixing from many different styles, eras, etc.

I think this mantra for myself comes from the free rein my mom would give me of her sewing machines, without any real proper instruction (beyond watching her). I learned via trial and error that way, and it gave me an invaluable insight into materials and adhesives.
